Escondido, CA- May 15, 2013- Coldwell Banker Commercial Sudweeks Group of San Diego is pleased to announce the sale of the Mingei International Museum in Escondido, CA for $1,850,000.

The 23,900 square foot building is located at 155 West Grand Avenue, in downtown Escondido. The seller was Mingei International, represented by Rick Marcus of Coldwell Banker Commercial Sudweeks Group. The location has been home to the Mingei Museum since 2003, but closed to visitors in 2010.

The buyer was John Paul the Great Catholic University, represented by Don Zech of CDC Commercial of San Diego. John Paul the Great Catholic University plans to bring 140 students focused on entertainment careers to the downtown area of Escondido. City Council approved the conditional use permit with a 4-1 vote in early May, allowing the school to open.
